A man is currently evading authorities following a dramatic series of events that began with a crash and two alleged stabbings. The sequence of violence unfolded over a few hours, beginning with an incident in Epping and culminating in a shocking attack in Dandenong North.
According to police, the man first struck in Epping around 7:30 a.m., where he allegedly assaulted a man with a knife. The victim, a male in his 40s, suffered injuries to his upper body. Fortunately, they were not life-threatening, and he was promptly transported to Royal Melbourne Hospital for treatment, as confirmed by Ambulance Victoria.
Later that morning, at approximately 10:15 a.m., the suspect was involved in another alarming event. He reportedly drove a silver Honda CRV into a residence in Dandenong North. Upon emerging from the vehicle, he allegedly stabbed a woman residing in the home. Emergency services responded quickly, and the woman received medical attention at the scene before being admitted to the hospital. She, too, is expected to recover, as her injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The suspect fled the scene on foot, leaving a trail of questions and concern in his wake. Authorities have indicated that these attacks were not random. Preliminary investigations suggest that the assailant knew both victims, leading police to consider these as targeted acts.
