Known for her love of luxurious vacations, Dua Lipa, often referred to as the ‘Vacanza Queen,’ is set to exchange vows in a stunning Italian setting. The pop sensation will marry actor Callum Turner, a leading contender for the next James Bond role, in what is anticipated to be the entertainment industry’s wedding of the year.
The star-studded event is scheduled to unfold later this week in Palermo, Sicily’s vibrant capital. Insiders have disclosed that the couple’s three-day nuptial celebration will kick off on Thursday, drawing a host of A-list celebrities to the picturesque locale.
The upcoming wedding is already being compared to one of Sicily’s most iconic cinematic weddings—Al Pacino’s character Michael Corleone’s marriage to Apollonia Vitelli in the 1972 classic film, The Godfather.
As one of Britain’s most talked-about celebrity pairs, Dua Lipa and Callum Turner have secured an entire floor of opulent suites at the prestigious Villa Igiea, which offers breathtaking views of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The grand ceremony is slated to occur at Villa Valguarnera, a striking 17th-century estate, widely regarded as the most magnificent villa in Bagheria, a charming town situated just ten miles from Palermo.

She was dubbed the ‘Vacanza Queen’ over her fondness for glamorous getaways, so it was perhaps little surprise that Dua Lipa (pictured) has opted to marry in style in Italy

Observers reckon it could be the island’s most high-profile marriage since Al Pacino’s Michael Corleone wed Apollonia Vitelli in 1972 classic The Godfather (pictured)
Dua, 30, who announced her engagement to the 36-year-old actor last June, has revealed the couple fell in love with their wedding location during a visit to the Italian island on holiday.
Unsurprisingly, the guest list is shaping up to be a ‘Who’s Who’ of the celebrity universe, with Sir Elton John, Mark Ronson and Charli XCX among the music stars billed to attend, with Donatella Versace and Simon Porte Jacquemus from the fashion world.
In advance of the wedding, Dua is believed to have travelled to Italy to meet Donatella to finalise the details of the dress she is designing for the singer to wear on her big day.
Because of her longtime friendship with the designer, friends are convinced that Dua will wear a custom Atelier Versace gown.
A source close to the wedding said: ‘This is going to be the coolest wedding, and so glam.
‘Both Dua and Callum have been so excited and have been really involved with the planning. They want it to be epic.’
On Friday, the Grammy winner was spotted in Rome as the countdown began for her nuptials. Sources said Sir Elton, who Dua collaborated with on the 2021 song Cold Heart, could be among those set to perform for the wedding party.
New Rules singer Dua has previously spoken of how happy she is in her relationship with Turner, telling Harper’s Bazaar last year: ‘I’m happier than ever, so it feels like I’m doing a disservice by not talking about it.
‘When you’re a public figure, anything that’s very personal is very vulnerable. It’s not like I don’t want to share it.

‘I love love. It is a beautiful thing. It’s really inspiring. You find yourself intensely falling all the time, in the best way possible.’
Turner was asked about his hopes for his relationship with the singer late last year. He sweetly responded: ‘Just to be together forever.’
The couple first sparked rumours that they were dating when they were spotted at the after-party for the Apple TV series Masters of the Air in January 2024.
Dua later revealed she first met Fantastic Beasts star Turner at London’s fashionable River Cafe restaurant.
She was previously linked to French film director Romain Gavras, while Turner once dated The Crown actress Vanessa Kirby, who played Princess Margaret in the Netflix drama.
