A shocking collision unfolded at a San Francisco intersection on Wednesday, when an electric three-wheeler collided with an Audi, sending passengers airborne.
The crash, which occurred in the vicinity of the city’s Panhandle neighborhood, resulted in multiple injuries and significant damage to both vehicles, according to police reports.

The San Francisco Fire Department shared an update on social media platform X, stating, “Motor vehicle accident with four people transported to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries at the intersection of Baker/Hayes St. Please avoid the area while SFPD does their investigation.”
Footage of the incident captures two pedestrians approaching the intersection, as a black Audi enters the frame.
The video shows the car seemingly gliding through the intersection before being struck by an Arcimoto FUV, a three-wheeled electric ‘fun utility vehicle’ carrying two passengers.
The force of the collision hurled the driver across the street, causing them to roll before coming to a halt on the pavement. Meanwhile, the other passenger remained inside the electric vehicle.
As the passenger flew, the Audi’s airbags deployed and sent it into a spin, nearly colliding with the pedestrians.
The video ends as one of the pedestrians runs over in horror to check out the ejected passenger of the electric vehicle.
The Audi suffered heavy damage to its driver’s-side back door, while the electric vehicle received less damage from the incident.
Police taped off the scene with yellow tape, and multiple officers appeared to be on scene. It’s unclear what the passengers’ current conditions are.
The Arcimoto FUV first went on sale in 2019 and is known for being “fast, fun, and versatile beyond anything else on the market,” according to its manufacturer, Arcimoto.
The vehicles are classed as autocycles and are road legal in the state of California.
