New unsettling information has surfaced regarding the untimely death of Doug Kiker, a former American Idol contestant, who passed away earlier this week at the age of 32.
Known affectionately as The Singing Garbage Man, Kiker’s passing was confirmed by his ex-fiancée, Valerie Cook, while other family members expressed their shock and unpreparedness for this sudden loss.
Reports now indicate that Kiker’s final days involved a stranger’s intervention as he was seen wandering the streets of Denver, which led to concerns about his well-being, according to TMZ.
The passerby, alarmed by Kiker’s troubling appearance, felt compelled to contact authorities for assistance.
Law enforcement sources revealed that the 911 call reported a suspicion of a possible drug overdose, prompting immediate action.
Kiker, who gained fame during the 18th season of American Idol, was subsequently taken to the hospital, where, tragically, he succumbed to his condition five days later.
Additional insiders close to the singer claimed that he suffered a heart attack due to drug use – although an official cause of death by a medical examiner has yet to be determined.
