Newly emerged witness accounts have provided a chilling glimpse into the tragic final moments of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf, a high school athlete from Texas, who succumbed to a fatal stabbing during a crowded track meet in April 2025.
During Saturday’s proceedings in the highly publicized trial, an 18-year-old recent graduate from Memorial High School gave an emotional testimony. Overcome with tears, he vividly described the pandemonium that followed the attack, recalling Metcalf’s desperate cries for assistance.
Another witness, a 16-year-old member of Memorial High’s class of 2027, recounted hearing Metcalf’s haunting last words: “he f—— stabbed me,” spoken shortly after the incident.
