The first Story-Rich showcase was packed with narrative-driven games

Fellow Traveller, the publisher renowned for titles like Titanium Court and 1000xResist, recently concluded its Story-Rich Showcase, spotlighting an array of narrative-focused indie games. With over 20 games unveiled, there was much to absorb. Below, we’ve highlighted some of the standout announcements. For those interested in viewing the entire showcase, it’s available on Fellow Traveller’s YouTube channel.

The sci-fi game Ambrosia Sky, which immerses players in a world dealing with alien fungi cleanup, is set to expand with its second act on August 6th. This act will be offered as a free update. Initially, the game was intended to have three acts, but in March, developer Soft Rains announced a reduction to two. Upon the release of Act Two, the game’s price will increase from $14.99 to $24.99.

Fans of the sci-fi RPGs Citizen Sleeper and its sequel Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector will soon have the opportunity to play these games on the Switch 2, with versions available from June 25th. Those who already own the games on the original Switch can upgrade to the Switch 2 versions at no additional cost. Additionally, developer Gareth Damian Martin is set to unveil their next project during the upcoming PC Gaming Show on Sunday.

For a chilling gaming experience, look out for Desktop Explorer. This horror puzzle game, which challenges players to navigate a spine-tingling version of a classic Windows-like operating system, is set for release on July 17th.

Necrosoft’s Demonschool, a tactical RPG inspired by Buffy and Persona, is introducing a new paid DLC centered around “puzzle battles.” In these battles, players must strategically eliminate enemies using specific characters in a single turn. Both the DLC and the Switch 2 version, which boasts mouse support and enhanced frame rates, are slated for release later this year.

Powerhoof, the creative force behind last year’s retro mystery game The Drifter, is now developing The Telwynium, described as a “fantasy adventure epic.” “Book One” of this new game is currently available on Steam, with an option to purchase it through Itch.io as well.
