Woman allegedly choked subway rider, yelled antisemitic remarks in attack caught on video: police

A young woman from New York has been taken into custody on charges related to a hate crime following a violent altercation on a New York City subway. The incident, which unfolded last weekend, was captured on video and confirmed by the NYPD to a News Agency.

The accused, 23-year-old Diana Smith from the Bronx, was seen in the footage aggressively shouting anti-Semitic remarks, including the disturbing claim, “Jews are eating kids!” She allegedly targeted the victim by saying, “You’re a Jew. I can smell the kids.”

The video subsequently captured Smith launching a physical attack, which drew reactions from other passengers. During the commotion, she was heard making a shocking statement: “It’s OK for her to eat a kid, but I can’t choke her down?”

Following the violent encounter, Smith reportedly continued her assault by throwing the victim to the floor and tearing out some of her hair. The NYPD identified the victim as another 23-year-old woman.

This disturbing footage was later shared online by the Combat Antisemitism Movement, drawing widespread attention to the incident.
