After an exhilarating New York Knicks victory in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, comedian Jerry Seinfeld found himself unexpectedly confronted by a live streamer urging him to declare ‘Free Palestine’.
Outside Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night, the 72-year-old humorist encountered a streamer known as FinesseFave, who attempted to provoke a reaction. Seinfeld, however, was unfazed and swiftly dismissed the request.
With a chuckle, Seinfeld responded to the request with a curt retort: “It doesn’t exist,” before continuing on his way, leaving the streamer thrilled with what he considered a sensational clip.
The encounter quickly gained traction across social media, sparking a lively debate over Seinfeld’s remarks and his approach to the situation.
While some viewers were critical of Seinfeld, one of them expressed outrage, stating, “JERRY SEINFELD following the Knicks game says that PALESTINE ‘DOESN’T EXIST’. DISGUSTING.”
Some users blasted the star for his response as one said: ‘JERRY SEINFELD following the Knicks game says that PALESTINE “DOESN’T EXIST”. DISGUSTING.’

The ‘Free Palestine’ movement is a decentralized global campaign advocating for Palestinian self-determination, human rights, and an end to the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
At its core, the movement seeks to end systemic discrimination and secure dignity, statehood, and justice for Palestinians
Seinfeld has been very vocally dismissive of the ‘Free Palestine’ movement for years as back in September he said he holds the Ku Klux Klan in higher regard than those supporters of the movement.
At the time he was at a Chabad event to honor people being held hostage in Gaza at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, according to the college’s student newspaper, The Duke Chronicle.
Seinfeld broached the uncomfortable topic as he introduced Omer Shem Tov, a one-time Israeli hostage. He said of Free Palestine supporters, ‘Just say you don’t like Jews.’
The Brooklyn, New York native explained his point of view at the event, according to the student paper.

‘By saying Free Palestine, you’re not admitting what you really think,’ Seinfeld said. ‘So it’s actually – compared to the Ku Klux Klan, I’m actually thinking the Klan is actually a little better here because they can come right out and say, ‘We don’t like Blacks, we don’t like Jews’ – OK, that’s honest.’
Months before that, Seinfeld bluntly told an Anti-Israeli activist ‘I don’t care about Palestine’ during an awkward exchange after what initially appeared to be an innocent selfie request.
The comedy legend gave the cutting response after the activist attempted to elicit a political statement from him during the unexpected encounter filmed in February 2025.
Social media personality Subway DJ approached the comedian at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, where Saturday Night Live was hosting a 50th-anniversary celebration at the time.
Seinfeld was more than willing to oblige when Subway DJ asked, ‘Jerry, can I get a selfie?’
‘Sure!’, Seinfeld said as he leaned in to pose for what he believed was going to be a typical fan photo.
But instead of capturing a still image, the activist was secretly recording a video.
As the camera rolled, the activist flashed a peace sign and abruptly declared, ‘Free Palestine.’

Seinfeld’s expression said it all, shifting from surprise to discomfort as he quietly processed the political bait.
When asked to repeat the phrase he shook his head delivering a blunt response, ‘I don’t care about Palestine,’ before walking away, shutting down the encounter.
Seinfeld’s remark was not particularly surprising. The comedian has been an outspoken supporter of Israel, particularly since the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war in October 2023.
He made a solidarity visit to Israel at the end of 2023. He also met with families of hostages taken by Hamas and has said he will always stand with Israel and the Jewish people.
Shortly after the conflict escalated, Seinfeld took to Instagram to voice his unwavering support for the Jewish state.
‘I lived and worked on a Kibbutz in Israel when I was 16, and I have loved our Jewish homeland ever since. My heart is breaking from these attacks and atrocities. But we are also a very strong people in our hearts and minds.
‘We believe in justice, freedom, and equality. We survive and flourish no matter what. I will always stand with Israel and the Jewish people.’
