FBI foils alleged drone terror plot targeting White House UFC event
The FBI says it foiled an alarming drone-based attack aimed at a UFC event hosted at the White House, with authorities arresting 23 people allegedly driven by anti-government and anti-Israel beliefs. On “Outnumbered,” panelists examined the disturbing claims, including reported plans involving snipers and accusations that a 19-year-old suspect spent roughly $3,000 on weapons.
On Tuesday, officials disclosed additional information about five of the suspects accused of planning what prosecutors described as a “mass casualty event” targeting President Donald Trump and other prominent officials during the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House on Sunday.
According to prosecutors, the group was taken into custody in June as part of a multi-state operation. Investigators allege the suspects worked together on an ambush plan centered on drones packed with explosives, which were supposedly intended to hit the north side of the White House.
The five suspects were identified as Tycen C. Proper, 19, of Ohio; Bryan Omar Roa, 24, of California; Michael Alan Thomas, 32, of California; Daniel K. Eskridge, 32, of Kidder, Missouri; and Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, 31, of Omaha, Nebraska.
Investigators say they uncovered five especially unsettling details tied to the alleged scheme.
