Shirley MacLaine appears to be as lively as ever at 92, with the Oscar-winning star showing no sign of slowing down.
The Sweet Charity icon was recently spotted enjoying an outdoor lunch at Kristy’s, a longtime favorite destination in Malibu.
MacLaine was joined by a male companion and appeared to sip a martini as she relaxed in the sunshine.
For the outing, she wore a cheerful blue cardigan layered over a brightly striped collared shirt, finishing the look with stylish round black-framed glasses.
Known throughout her Hollywood career for her vivid red hair, MacLaine has embraced a softer silver style in recent years. During the lunch outing, her hair was lightly curled at the ends.
The appearance comes only days after reports surfaced that her brother, fellow screen legend Warren Beatty, 89, has not been seen publicly in four years.

Beatty was a major Hollywood star whose career spanned six decades starting with his film debut Splendor in the Grass in 1961. He would later secure his superstar status in such iconic films as Bonnie and Clyde (1967), Shampoo (1975) and Heaven Can Wait (1978).
He won a Best Director Oscar for Reds (1981) and took a massive gamble with Dick Tracy (1990), which co-starred Madonna and became a hit.
But Beatty, who was equally known for being a lothario and having many love affairs, hasn’t appeared in a film since the 2016 romantic comedy-drama Rules Don’t Apply.
These days the former Casanova, now 89, prefers the comfort of his Los Angeles home. He hasn’t been seen in public in four years, while his wife, Annette Bening, 68, works constantly and is very much in demand.
Earlier this month, a source exclusively told the Daily Mail the actor’s reclusiveness has been a deliberate choice on his part.
‘Warren is a total recluse these days at his Los Angeles home, he does not really go out anywhere at all,’ the source said.
‘He is not taking visitors, so [he and his wife’s] famous dinner parties are a thing of the past. He has gotten tired and is not in the mood for socializing, he is over it.’
The former A-lister made his last red-carpet appearance in September 2021.

According to the source, Beatty’s infamous Academy Award blunder in which he and his Bonnie and Clyde co-star Faye Dunaway mistakenly read out the wrong Best Picture winner is to blame for his current, shut-in lifestyle.
Many people pointed to the senior actors’ ages as the culprit, until it was later revealed they were given the wrong envelope by accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, who have kept tabulation and security of the Academy Awards ballots since 1937 and continue to do so despite the 2017 blunder.
‘That made him want to stay away from Hollywood because it was so unfair and rude, he was like, “I’m out folks,”‘ the source explained. ‘You have to remember he came from a classy era where people were nicer. So he felt like he did not want to be involved in such a mean-spirited era.’
Beatty’s life is much more serene away from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.
‘His days are spent with more relaxing things like hanging out in his backyard and watching movies at home,’ our source said.
‘He wants his life to be really simple these days. The kids visit him, he does not go to them.’
Beatty has four children with Bening: Stephen, 34, Benjamin, 31, Isabel, 29, and Ella, 26.
He was nowhere in sight as his youngest daughter, who has already made a name for herself in acting circles, joined Sarah Paulson at the 2026 Tony Awards on June 7 where Bening was also a presenter.
MacLaine is a social butterfly and loves to get out and mingle, as she did in December 2025 at the Dance Hall of Fame Ceremony in Los Angeles alongside, L-R, fellow honorees Twyla Tharp, Mikhail Baryshnikov and Kenny Ortega
According to our source, the Virginia native ‘has not been on an airplane in years’ and ‘has no interest’ in doing so.
Meanwhile, MacLaine is ‘the opposite’ of her younger brother.
‘She is very into socializing and going out,’ the source said. ‘Shirley is very sharp and together, and she also likes to go out and stay busy. She is not home watching the paint dry.’
