Storms and pockets of heavy rain swept through parts of the First Coast on Sunday afternoon. Here are a few scenes shared by our Weather Watchers.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A band of thunderstorms pushed across the First Coast Sunday afternoon, bringing wet weather to Father’s Day.
The storms delivered areas of heavy downpours, frequent lightning and wind gusts that at times topped 50 mph.
The unsettled weather developed as hot, humid air combined with a passing trough, helping spark afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
