Erika Kirk set to face husband's accused killer Tyler Robinson in court

Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, and his parents are expected to be in court next week for a week-long hearing involving accused shooter Tyler Robinson, a source familiar with the case said.

Several close family friends are also expected to attend the proceedings in Provo, Utah, which are set to begin Monday morning and run through the end of the week.

Robinson, 23, is scheduled for a preliminary hearing, during which prosecutors will present evidence to Judge Tony Graf, who will determine whether the case should proceed to trial.

A preliminary hearing serves as an alternative route to seeking an indictment from a grand jury.

The hearing may include graphic evidence from the public assassination on Sept. 10, which unfolded before thousands of spectators as Kirk, 31, spoke at Utah Valley University in Orem.

Robinson, who could face the death penalty if convicted, has not yet entered a plea.

The proceeding could still be delayed, as Robinson is challenging several rulings, including Graf’s decision permitting media cameras inside the courtroom.

Erika Kirk, who is serving as a victim representative in the case, has advocated for broad press access to the proceedings.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
