Consumer safety officials have announced a recall of certain fireworks that may tip over during use, creating a risk of serious injury from explosions and burns.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the recall Thursday for Unity 7 Shot 200 Gram Aerial Cake Firework Devices.
The recalled fireworks are sold in red, white and blue packaging and weigh about one-third of a pound. Each device measures approximately 2.9 inches by 2.9 inches by 3.9 inches.
The product box features a red, white and blue label with the name “Unity” printed on it, along with images of American flags in the background.
Consumers can identify the recalled fireworks by checking the back of the package, where date codes from 03.16.2026 through 05.18.2026 and model number MEF6096 appear beneath the barcode.

Officials are advising anyone who purchased the fireworks to stop using them immediately and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Refunds will be provided either in cash or to the buyer’s original form of payment.
No injuries have been reported in connection with the recalled fireworks, but safety officials continue to urge consumers not to use the product.
The fireworks were manufactured by Winco Fireworks International, LLC, of Grandview, Missouri. They were sold at Pyro City stores and other independent fireworks retailers nationwide from January 2026 through May 2026 for about $6 to $8.
Another recall listed on the Winco Fireworks International website included Hometown Roman Candles.
