Travis Kelce’s latest episode of New Heights was not the post-wedding download many fans had been waiting for, leaving listeners disappointed after tuning in for details about his marriage to Taylor Swift.
Interest has been high since Kelce and Swift tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Madison Square Garden on July 3, with supporters eager for any insight from the newlyweds themselves.
The high-profile couple reportedly welcomed around 1,000 guests to the celebration, but they have so far kept the finer details under wraps, offering little publicly about the star-studded evening.
Rather than wedding stories, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and his brother, Jason Kelce, released an interview with seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady. Adding to fans’ frustration, the conversation had been recorded before the wedding took place.
In the first 10 minutes of the episode, Jason spoke about playing golf with Travis in Bel Air, the upscale Los Angeles neighborhood. The brothers had spent time in California ahead of the wedding, including celebrations connected to Travis’ bachelor party.
This week’s New Heights episode featured a pre-recorded interview with NFL legend Tom Brady.
Listeners had been hoping Kelce would share fresh details from his wedding.
Swift did come up briefly during the show. Asked about his favorite moment of the season, Kelce pointed to the episode featuring Swift, after which he proposed to her in the garden of his Kansas City mansion.
He said: ‘Starting it (the season) with Taylor was epic. During that recording the entire time I’m planning like I’m gonna ask this woman to marry me after this. It’s something I’ll remember forever.
Swift and Kelce married Friday night at Madison Square Garden, where actor Adam Sandler was the surprising officiant at a ceremony and Stevie Nicks performed among a crowd packed with stars of sports and entertainment.
The deep secrecy that surrounded the buildup to the nuptials lifted when a marquee outside the Midtown Manhattan arena proclaimed ‘JUST&T MARRIED’ once the deed was done.
The couple did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen, instead having Swift´s younger brother Austin Swift serve as her man of honor with Kelce´s big brother and podcast co-host Jason Kelce his best man, Swift’s publicist Tree Paine said in an email.
The bride and groom´s outfits came from Christian Dior Haute Couture and its designer Jonathan Anderson with shoes custom-made by Christian Louboutin. She wore Cartier jewelry.
Actors Bradley Cooper, Zoe Kravitz, Hugh Grant and Ethan Hawke; models Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss; comic Chris Rock; director Steven Spielberg; singer Camila Cabello and author Jenny Han were among the guests from the world of arts and entertainment.
Kelce’s coach Andy Reid and Chiefs teammates including Patrick Mahomes were among the sports figures in the arena, along with Brady, Seattle Seahawks receiver and recent Super Bowl champ Cooper Kupp, New York Giants receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and ESPN personalities Joe Buck and Stephen A. Smith.
There was a seemingly total lack of social media posts from guests once they had entered the arena, with phones apparently banned.

However, on Saturday, hosts of Good Morning America who had been invited to the wedding, confirmed that Nicks performed and described the space as ‘intimate.’
‘As intimate as it could possibly be given it was Madison Square Garden. Really this garden inside the garden, just so beautiful,’ said George Stephanopoulos. ‘It’s hard to imagine a place that big and a wedding with such stars could feel so personal and so intimate.’
Robin Roberts added that both Swift and Kelce wrote their own vows.
Meanwhile, in fresh drama surrounding Kelce’s wedding day, Taylor Lewan publicly called out his ‘friend of 10 years’ for not being one of the 1,000 invitees last week.
In an astonishing outburst on his ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’ podcast, Lewan called out the newlyweds and claimed he must have missed something to justify their decision.
Lewan revealed that he voice-noted Kelce directly requesting an explanation for his absence on Friday evening – before admitting that he decided not to send it.
Lewan’s snub comes after his ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’ podcast co-host Will Compton admitted he was ‘flabbergasted’ at being left off the guest list by Kelce.
The duo have often spoken openly of their admiration and friendship with the Kansas City Chiefs star and the feelings have always appeared mutual.
Meanwhile, Taylor Lewan was shocked by Kelce snubbing him from his Taylor Swift wedding
Taking to their podcast, Lewan said: ‘We are extremely happy for them, clearly it was an extremely intimate wedding, with only their closest friends and family.’
‘Going into the weekend I thought ‘all good, didn’t get an invite’. At the end of the day when it comes to weddings, don’t make it about yourself,’ he explained.
‘But then I start to see who is [invited]. Alex Morgan? Who is that? Baker Mayfield, his wife there. Beaabadoobee (the singer)… gotta go? Benson Boone, yeah gotta have him. Bowen Yang, who is that?
‘Dude when I saw that Dean Blandino got invited, friend of our show. Dean Blandino was there. Now I am starting to think is this a personal shot that Will and I are taking?
‘I’m going to take the high road but clearly I am doing something wrong in our friendship. Clearly doing something wrong,’ a frustrated Lewan added.
