The summer transfer window is open once more, with clubs now able to do business until September 1. As ever, the weeks ahead are expected to bring plenty of movement as teams try to strengthen their squads before the new season.

Here is the latest transfer news from Simon Jones and the Daily Mail Sport team…

Wolves bolster attack

Wolves have confirmed the arrival of Comoros international winger Rafiki Said from Standard Liege, in a deal that could rise to £7.7million.

Leeds up for fight over Muharemovic

Elsewhere, Leeds have joined Bournemouth and Sunderland in the race to sign Sassuolo centre back Tarik Muharemovic.

The Bosnia international has been tracked by Bournemouth for around a year, with the club also making enquiries about him during the January window.

Sassuolo are understood to value the 23-year-old at roughly £30million, although former club Juventus are due 50 per cent of any future sale.

Leeds are in the market for defensive reinforcements after Pascal Struijk completed his move to Brighton.

Garnacho heading for the exit

Chelsea, meanwhile, are prepared to move on Alejandro Garnacho after just one season at the club.

Daily Mail Sport reported earlier this week that two Champions League clubs are among those showing interest in Garnacho, with former club Manchester United retaining a 10 per cent sell-on clause.

Garnacho, who is valued at £45million, has not been involved in those first sessions held by new boss Xabi Alonso, with club and player working to finalise his future.

Premier League new boys Coventry have completed the signing of Burnley winger Loum Tchaouna in a deal worth £20million.

The 22-year-old joined Burnley from Lazio for £13m last summer.

Daily Mail Sport understands that Frank Lampard’s side are also finalising details on Aurele Amenda’s transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Swiss international will ratify his move once he has a medical after the World Cup.

Manchester City midfielder Sverre Nypan has joined Lommel on loan.

The 20-year-old Norway international endured a difficult loan at Middlesbrough last season.

Bournemouth defender set for Italy move

Bournemouth defender Alex Jimenez has travelled to Florence ahead of a medical with Fiorentina.

The Italians have a deal in place to take the full-back on loan with view to a £17.5million permanent transfer.

Jimenez was omitted from the Bournemouth first team in May pending an investigation into allegations posted against him on social media.

Hull City are looking to bring in Ecuador midfielder Oscar Zambrano from Maribor.

The 22-year-old had a previous spell with Hull on loan in 2024 but was hit with a ban for a positive drugs test while he had been playing for previous club Quito.

Zambrano is expected to arrive at the start of next week.

Mo Salah is wanted by Sporting Kansas City in the MLS.

The Egyptian is a free agent after leaving Liverpool and he and his representative Ramy Abbas are assessing options which are continuing to arrive from Saudi Arabia’s Pro-League and Europe.

Everton hold an interest in Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy.

The 31-year-old has 12 months left on contract and could depart unless Newcastle are prepared to extend his contract.

He has been at Newcastle for nine years and has been an important part of Eddie Howe’s squad.

Everton have signed Tyrique George from Chelsea and could yet re-sign Jack Grealish from Manchester City if a financial compromise can be found.

Monga becomes new head coach Enzo Maresca’s second signing of the summer after Elliott Anderson joined from Nottingham Forest for £116m.
