From eye-catching props and elaborate costumes to dance rehearsals and on-set secrets, go behind the scenes of bringing “Descendants: Wicked Wonderland” to life.
VANCOUVER, British Columbia — After a visit to Walt Disney World Resort, a packed press tour and a truly wonderful premiere, the stars of “Descendants: Wicked Wonderland” have had a summer to remember!
Before the spotlight shifted to premieres and interviews, On The Red Carpet’s Ashley Mackey headed to Vancouver, British Columbia, in May 2025 for an exclusive set visit. There, she got an up-close look at the sets, the carefully crafted props and, of course, the choreography that helps give the Disney+ movie its signature energy.
The behind-the-scenes look features interviews with Kylie Cantrall, who plays Red; Malia Baker, who plays Chloe Charming; Liamani Segura as Pink; Kiara Romero as Hazel Hook; Alexandro Byrd as Luis Madrigal; and Leonardo Nam as Maddox Hatter. Choreographer Emilio Dosal, prop master Matt Wilson and director Kimmy Gatewood also share what it took to build the world of “Descendants: Wicked Wonderland.”

The timing made the visit even more special: it was wrap day. On The Red Carpet was on set for Cantrall and Baker’s final day of filming, adding an emotional note as some cast members reflected on the experience and said goodbye to the production.
