AEW Redemption arrives Sunday, July 26, at the Bell Centre in Montreal, giving All Elite Wrestling one final major pay-per-view stop before All In, the company’s marquee event of the year. With Wembley Stadium looming, Redemption is positioned to connect several key storylines while helping lock in the shape of AEW’s biggest card.
The event is led by a major AEW World Championship match, as Kenny Omega puts the title on the line against Kevin Knight in a bout that was set up earlier this month.
When AEW first unveiled Redemption, the show appeared tailor-made for Omega to win back the world title he had not held since 2021. A championship clash in Canada against MJF, the company’s top villain, with a fiercely supportive home-country crowd behind Omega, seemed like a natural headline moment. Instead, Omega regained the championship at Beach Break in Clearwater, Florida, shifting the Montreal main event into his first title defense. Knight, meanwhile, steps into the biggest opportunity of his AEW career with his first world championship main event. The winner will advance to face Will Ospreay at All In.
The AEW Women’s World Championship will also be on the line, with Thekla defending against Willow Nightingale. Nightingale secured her title shot by winning a Casino Gauntlet match, earning a high-profile chance ahead of Wembley. The winner is scheduled to meet Mercedes Moné at All In, although the defeated challenger is still expected to remain an important presence on the Wembley Stadium card.
