TikTok creator Sara Gilson, who also used the name Sara Duffey, had recently posted online accusing her estranged husband of being a pedophile. Weeks later, the former couple was found dead from gunshot wounds inside Gilson’s Oklahoma home in a case local reports say is being investigated as a possible murder-suicide.
Gilson had filed for a protective order against her husband, 48-year-old Jeremiah “Shawn” Duffey, before sharing a TikTok video on July 11. The clip was captioned: “Preparing for when Netflix drops a documentary about my soon to be ex husband who I just found out is a pedophile.” As of Saturday, the video remained publicly visible on her account.

On July 24, 13 days after the video was posted, officers were called to the 41-year-old’s home for a reported domestic incident. When police arrived, they discovered Gilson and Duffey dead from what appeared to be gunshot wounds, according to local station KTUL.
KTUL reported that an extended family member identified the two people found in the home and alleged that Duffey, who went by Shawn, broke into the residence, fatally shot Sara and then killed himself. Police later confirmed the identities of the deceased, KRMG reported, but authorities did not publicly classify the deaths as a murder-suicide.
Investigators said there was no ongoing danger to the public, according to KRMG.

Local media also reported that the 911 call was placed by a juvenile who was inside the house at the time.
Duffey had been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from Gilson as part of her June 10 protective order against him.
On the same day she filed her protective order, another woman filed for a separate protective order against Duffey after he was allegedly spotted “kissing and fondling” her 15-year-old daughter, who played on the youth basketball team Duffey coached, according to The Oklahoman.
Duffey had allegedly been sending the girl inappropriate messages and had given her money “to keep her quiet,” the outlet reported.
After the coach was allegedly spotted with the girl, a report had been filed to the Owasso Police Department.

Gilson had also filed two previous protective orders against Duffey, though both were dismissed after Gilson failed to appear at the hearings, People reported.
Gilson and Duffey had reportedly shared children of their own.
