BEAVERTON, Ore. — A frightening road rage encounter in Beaverton, Oregon, was captured on camera, showing a driver allegedly terrorizing a couple on the road.
Police released video from the victims’ dash and rear-view cameras, which they say shows the suspect following their vehicle.
“Hi, I have a disturbance that someone’s following me,” the victim tells police during a phone call.
In the footage, the suspect appears to drive aggressively, swerving in front of the couple’s car before slamming on the brakes.
The victim’s wife can be heard screaming from the passenger seat as the situation escalates.
According to police, the couple reported seeing the other driver reach into his coat several times in a way that made them think he may have had a gun.
At one point, the driver begins pursuing the couple while driving in reverse.

“Oh my god, this guy’s crazy. He’s driving in reverse right now, trying to follow me in reverse,” the victim tells police over the phone.
Video shows the suspect flying down the road backwards.
Police say he drove like that for over a mile, and at one point he drove on the wrong side of the road.
The victim drove straight to the police station. Authorities then caught up with the suspect identified as 29-year-old Armin K. Hastings.
Police said they found a black airsoft gun in his pocket.
Hastings was booked into the Washington County Jail on charges of reckless driving and menacing, ABC affiliate KATU reported.
