Man Shoved Onto Subway Tracks in Harlem as NYPD Searches for Suspect

Police are searching for a suspect accused of pushing a man onto the subway tracks in Harlem following a dispute Tuesday night.

The confrontation unfolded shortly before 9 p.m. on the platform at the 125th Street subway station, where the suspect and victim began arguing, police said Thursday.

According to investigators, the encounter quickly escalated when the suspect allegedly shoved the man onto the tracks before escaping aboard a southbound 3 train.

Authorities have not said what led to the argument or what may have prompted the attack.

The victim suffered minor injuries and was helped back onto the platform by bystanders, police said.

He was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he was listed in stable condition.

On Thursday night, the NYPD released surveillance footage of the man wanted in connection with the Harlem subway attack. The video shows him wearing all black and carrying a black duffel bag near a subway station exit.
