Brittany Boltinhouse’s Family Criticizes Miss North Carolina USA Organization for Saving Face: Report

The family of former Miss North Carolina USA Brittany Boltinhouse has reportedly criticized pageant officials, accusing organizers of trying to “save face” after the 27-year-old was stripped of her crown over allegations tied to resurfaced racist social media posts.

“I think it’s important to put her truth out and have the proper narrative out versus a narrative that is saving the face [of] an organization,” one relative told the Daily Mail, offering the first public response from Boltinhouse’s side since she was abruptly dethroned Wednesday.

The family member said there is more they want to share but added that they are proceeding carefully. “As you can imagine, there’s a lot we would like to say but we are taking the time to be in prayer and unity and [will] respond in a manner [that] God calls us to,” the relative said.

Boltinhouse was officially removed after A-Blaize Productions, the organization that runs the Miss North Carolina USA pageant, said it completed “a thorough review of recently surfaced information.”

According to the NC Beat, the Wilmington resident allegedly used the N-word several times and described herself as “toxic” in a series of old social media posts made between 2017 and 2019 under the username Sosa the Stallion.

Boltinhouse has not publicly responded to the allegations.

Her removal has rattled the pageant community, with one fellow contestant previously telling The Post that the controversy has “caused a lot of pain.”

Following Boltinhouse’s ouster, the Miss North Carolina USA title was immediately passed to first runner-up Myla Hadley.
