Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock brought a dose of big-screen nostalgia to Los Angeles on Monday as they reunited at the glittering premiere of Practical Magic 2.
Kidman, 59, delivered full red-carpet enchantment in a sheer black lace gown by Pieter Mulier for Atelier Versace. Styled by Jason Bolden, she completed the dramatic look with a coordinating lace choker.
The Australian star’s asymmetrical dress included a striking thigh-high slit that highlighted her toned legs, while her blonde hair was styled in a glamorous tumble of voluminous, bouncy curls.
Bullock, 62, leaned into a darker, gothic-inspired mood for the occasion. Styled by Leslie Fremar, she wore a custom Louis Vuitton black velvet gown with a bold sheer panel at the bust and a crisp white lace collar.
The longtime on-screen sisters clasped hands as they posed for photographers, instantly evoking the chemistry and youthful spark that helped make the original 1998 Practical Magic a cult favorite.
In Practical Magic 2, Bullock returns as Sally Owens, with Kidman back as her free-spirited sister Gillian. The sequel revisits the witchy siblings as they try to build ordinary lives while still navigating the shadow of their family curse.

‘But, I felt like I wanted to know how these characters happened; I wanted to know their history.
‘So I went back in time and I went to the ’60s in New York City in Greenwich Village – which is my favorite time and I wish we were there right now – and it was a total pleasure.’
