Travis Kelce quietly added a major Ohio property to his holdings, purchasing a $5.35 million lakefront estate outside downtown Cleveland months before marrying Taylor Swift, according to property records reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.
The historic residence, built 131 years ago and recently updated, first hit the market in 2024 with an asking price just shy of $7 million before being reduced to $5.99 million, WSJ.com reported. Set on 3.5 acres along the Lake Erie shoreline, the sprawling 21,000-square-foot mansion features eight bedrooms, a ballroom and a home theater.
The grounds add even more space for guests and entertaining, including a two-bedroom cottage that previously functioned as the estate’s gatehouse, as well as a backyard swimming pool.
Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs star tight end, completed the purchase in March, several months before tying the knot with Swift at Madison Square Garden. The Journal noted that the property sits near a private airport — a potentially useful perk for the newlyweds as they juggle a real estate portfolio said to have reached double digits.
According to Realtor.com, the couple owned at least nine homes by early July, a collection that included Swift’s New York City condo and her properties in Rhode Island, Nashville and California. Kelce also brought his own Kansas City mansion into the relationship.
“We’re thrilled for the new owners and so excited for Cleveland,” brokers David Ayers and Nick Zawitz of The Agency Cleveland told WSJ.com.

Our News Outlet has sought confirmation through Kelce’s agent.
A native of Cleveland Heights, Kelce is intensely proud of his Cuyahoga County roots. And while Swift is accustomed to spending time in her $50 million lower-Manhattan marvel, she has embraced his hometown by attending Cleveland Cavaliers games with Kelce on top of family obligations.
Remarkably, the 21,000-square-foot mansion was not the only major purchase revealed by Kelce this week. He and Swift have also added a new dog.
The pup, a white Samoyed which is rumored to be named Wendy according to Forbes, made its first public appearance in a new ad campaign for Tommy Hilfiger.
Wendy appears alongside the three-time Super Bowl winner on the roof of the Plaza Hotel, lounging on a black-and-white sofa as Kelce poses in a navy peacoat and white turtleneck.

Just months after he started dating Swift, Kelce splashed out on a $6 million mansion in the Leawood area of Kansas City. It’s unclear if he will keep the property when he ultimately retires

The fluffy canine also makes a cameo in a video for the campaign, following her famous dog dad through the iconic New York hotel.
The American fashion brand had been looking to cast a dog for the ad when Kelce volunteered his and Swift’s own, Vogue reported.
‘We figured, why not her? She crushed it and actually really fit into that Tommy aesthetic, too,’ Kelce told the outlet. ‘Those are some of my favorite shots.’
Kelce gushed over his gorgeous new pet, saying: ‘She lights up my day.’
The pet’s existence was first revealed by Our News Outlet in exclusive footage from inside the couple’s wedding, which showed a picture of the happy couple posing with their furry friend.
A source told Our News Outlet that ‘it seems that Travis made it happen’ regarding the dog.
