Police said the teenage girl is one of three people allegedly involved in Kyle Bickham’s death.
CHICAGO () — A 15-year-old girl charged in the death of a man who was pushed from a CTA train was ordered held in custody Saturday, according to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Kyle Bickham’s family said he was on his way home from work Monday afternoon when, police allege, he was shoved from a moving CTA Red Line train during an altercation near the 69th Street station. The incident happened at about 2:40 p.m.
Authorities said the teenage girl was one of three people who allegedly used force against the 29-year-old Bickham, causing him to fall from the train. She faces a first-degree murder charge along with other counts.
Chicago police arrested the teen Friday. She appeared in court for a detention hearing Saturday and is scheduled to return Monday.
Bickham’s loved ones remembered him as a hardworking, compassionate man who cared deeply for his family. The youngest male among four siblings, he was known for making people laugh and cherishing time with those closest to him.
The Chicago Police Department had not immediately confirmed whether the two other suspects in the case had been identified.
