Three-year-old girl killed, pregnant mother injured after alleged drag racers split car in half in Arizona

Georgia police are looking for a man accused of trespassing onto a stranger’s property, using the homeowner’s hot tub and becoming “infatuated” with a rubber duck.

The Chatham County Police Department said the suspect also took the homeowner’s towels before leaving the property. According to investigators, the man appeared to become “obsessed” with the rubber duck he found at the residence.

“He trespassed onto their property, used their hot tub, became obsessed with their rubber duck, then stole their pool towels,” police wrote. “It’s obviously not the biggest crime we’ve dealt with this month, but it has a lot of ick-factor. So, we’d like to find this guy so he doesn’t do this to someone else.”

Surveillance video from a home in the 9000 block of Whitefield Avenue shows the man on the property between approximately 2:15 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. on September 1, police said.

The footage reportedly shows him swimming in the pool before entering the hot tub. While there, he became “infatuated” with a rubber duck and was seen “intensely interacting” with the toy, according to police.

“While in the hot tub, the man is caught on video becoming infatuated with a rubber duck,” police wrote. “The video shows the man spending more than 10 minutes intensely interacting with the duck.”

Authorities did not provide further details about what the man did with the duck. A grainy, black-and-white image from the security footage appears to show him holding it near his face, although the exact nature of the interaction is unclear.

Afterward, police said, the man left the property on a bicycle.

Before departing, he allegedly took several luxury beach towels worth a combined $1,200.
