WALDO, Fla. – Antoinette Sameka Henneghan, 32, was arrested after allegedly threatening to shoot her brother while his children were nearby. She also faces a charge of possessing a firearm or ammunition as a convicted felon.
Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies were called to NE 148th Avenue at about 6:27 a.m. on September 12. The victim told deputies Henneghan became angry after believing his children had been eating her snacks. He said he then heard what sounded like a firearm being loaded before Henneghan approached his bedroom with a pistol at her side.
According to the victim, Henneghan threatened to shoot everyone in the room and mentioned funeral homes. She allegedly told him, “You think I’m playing,” before leaving the area. The man said he gathered his children and fled the home, meeting deputies at a nearby gas station.
Deputies later secured a search warrant for the residence. Investigators reportedly found six bullets and a 9mm magazine in Henneghan’s bedroom, as well as four additional bullets inside a tote container.
Judge Mitchell Bishop ordered Henneghan held without bail pending a hearing on a State Attorney’s Office request to keep her jailed without bail through trial. If the motion is denied, the judge will set bail at that hearing.
