Zoo advertises 'child predator tour' in cringeworthy mistake: 'Seems a bit dangerous'

It was hardly the kind of tour any parent would want their child taking.

A UK zoo accidentally advertised tickets online for a “child predator tour,” suggesting that children could come face-to-face with some of the jungle’s most formidable animals.

Chester Zoo’s 90-minute bus tour offers visitors the chance to see Sumatran tigers, lions, rhinos and Komodo dragons. However, a computer error gave the attraction its deeply unfortunate name, the BBC reported.

Online commenters quickly described the mistake as “sinister,” while others poked fun at the disturbing wording.

One person expressed disbelief that the unusual title had made it through the approval process.

“Staggering – how did that get approved?” the commenter wrote, according to the BBC.

“I hope this has been cleared by Cheshire Police – seems a bit dangerous,” another person joked.

A zoo spokesperson told the BBC that the awkward title resulted from “our default naming convention in our system” and said it was “quickly changed.”

According to the zoo’s website, tickets for children’s “predator tours” cost 25 euros, or approximately $33, while adult admission was listed at 30 euros, or about $40.
