A disturbing new video shows the driver involved in Tuesday’s bus crash appearing dazed and bloodied moments after she allegedly killed two passengers by slamming her SUV into the side of the vehicle.
Bailee Lynn Rios, 36, appeared stunned as witnesses approached the SUV and asked whether she was all right after the violent collision.
The crash triggered a chain of events that culminated in the devastating crash of an NBC news helicopter, killing a reporter, the pilot and a pedestrian on the ground.
Rios was charged Thursday with two counts of second-degree murder, driving under the influence and reckless driving in connection with the crash.
Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said Rios was allegedly under the influence of drugs when the collision occurred and that narcotics were found in her vehicle.
