Braden Peters, the controversial “looksmaxxing” influencer known online as “Clavicular,” is facing criminal charges in Massachusetts after a woman alleged that he got her intoxicated and had nonconsensual sex with her when she was 17, according to court records obtained by News Outlet.
Peters, 20, has been charged with rape, drugging a person to facilitate sexual intercourse and an alcohol-related misdemeanor.
The allegations involve an encounter on May 23, 2025, at Peters’ family home in Chatham on Cape Cod, court documents say.
According to investigators, the teenager met Peters through Instagram and went to his home after he invited her to participate in “looksmaxxing” content—a social media trend focused on enhancing one’s physical appearance.

Peters allegedly arranged an Uber for the teenager and was livestreaming on Twitch when she arrived. She told police that he knew she was 17 but directed her to tell viewers she was 18. He also allegedly instructed her to call alcohol “water” to avoid having his account or stream flagged.
Investigators later reviewed clips from Peters’ Twitch account that reportedly showed parts of the evening. In one clip, the teenager can be heard saying, “Wait, I’m so drunk though,” before she and Peters kissed.
She told investigators that she and Peters later had sex. She further alleged that she woke up the next morning to another sexual encounter that occurred without her consent.
Police said they believed the teenager was so intoxicated that she was unable to consent.
A judge determined that probable cause existed for all three charges on Sept. 4. A criminal complaint was filed Sept. 8 in Orleans District Court on Cape Cod. Peters was issued a summons and is scheduled for arraignment Oct. 14.

Mitchell Jackson, who represents Peters, disputed the allegations in a statement to News Outlet and highlighted the timing of a civil lawsuit involving Peters and the woman’s later report to police.
“She files a lawsuit and doesn’t include sexual assault as a count. Then she amends it and adds it a couple of months later,” Jackson said.
Jackson said Peters subsequently sought to have the lawsuit dismissed, arguing that letters and text messages backed his account. He also said Peters “refused to pay money.”
“She and her lawyer then go to police,” Jackson said.

Peters also addressed the allegations on social media, sharing screenshots of messages and a handwritten letter that he said supported his version of events.
“Trying to get my attention in anyway possible, a lawsuit? Seriously… really petty of you,” Peters wrote with the images.
News Outlet is not naming the woman who made the allegations.
The police report says the woman went to the Chatham Police Department with an attorney on June 4, 2026—more than a year after the alleged encounter. She told investigators that she initially kept the incident to herself because she felt embarrassed and did not want to tell her grandparents, with whom she was living at the time.
As part of the investigation, police sought Uber records from the night of the alleged encounter. Uber later confirmed Peters’ name and phone number in information returned to investigators, the police report states.

A Chatham police officer also tried twice to reach Peters by phone in late August but received no answer. The officer wrote that both calls went to a full voicemail inbox and that Peters had not contacted the department about the case as of Aug. 30.
News Outlet also reached out to Peters’ attorney, Steve Kramer, for comment on the charges and allegations.

Peters has amassed an online following under the name “Clavicular,” producing viral content centered on looksmaxxing.
The Massachusetts case is the latest legal trouble involving the influencer.
Earlier this year, Peters faced a misdemeanor charge in Florida after authorities alleged he repeatedly fired a gun at a dead alligator during a livestream in the Everglades.
An attorney for Peters said at the time that he had followed the instructions of a licensed airboat guide and stressed that no people or animals were harmed. Peters and two other men were summoned to appear on charges of discharging a gun in public.
Peters was also arrested in Florida earlier this year on battery and conspiracy to commit-battery allegations stemming from an altercation between two women at an Airbnb near Kissimmee.
Osceola County authorities alleged Peters instigated the fight and posted video of it on social media to “exploit the two women.”
