The sole holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy triple-murder trial is speaking publicly for the first time, offering his own account rather than leaving lawyers, commentators or podcast hosts to explain his position.
More than three weeks after the case ended in a mistrial, Michael P. Desronvil is explaining why he did not change his vote despite the intense pressure surrounding the jury’s deliberations.
In a brief recorded statement aired Monday night on Fox News’ “Hannity,” Desronvil said the public debate should move beyond arguments over feminism, medical care or politics. Instead, he urged people to remember the three children whose deaths were at the center of the January 2023 case.

His message was direct: remember the children by name — Cora, Dawson and Callan.

“I know the whole focus has been on me, but we want to reel everything back and put the focus on the three angels,” Desronvil said, naming Cora, Dawson and Callan.
The trial ended in a mistrial after the jury reportedly reached an 11-1 split. Desronvil has been identified as the lone juror who voted to convict, while the other 11 jurors reportedly favored a finding that Clancy was not criminally responsible.
Amid the scrutiny over the deadlock, Desronvil said his Catholic faith helped him remain grounded. He also thanked those who offered support and asked the public to remember the children, whom he described as unable to speak for themselves.
Desronvil’s decision has drawn significant attention because he was a private citizen serving on a jury, yet became the focus of a bitter public dispute after refusing to alter his position. Supporters have described the pressure he faced as extreme, while others have questioned his background and conduct during the proceedings.

Desronvil said he would not abandon his position because of public pressure. He credited his faith with helping him endure the controversy and keep his attention on the children at the heart of the case.
“A little bit about me, I want to thank God for my Catholic faith. I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to love my daughter. And I foremost would like to thank everyone, every individual that has supported me throughout this difficult situation,” he said.
“Your prayers, your emotional support, your psychological support is tremendous to my heart. That I feel, that I sense, that I know. I do want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.”
The controversy surrounding the case has unfolded amid a broader and increasingly polarized national conversation about high-profile criminal defendants, political violence and public reactions to allegations of murder. Desronvil’s statement sought to pull the discussion away from that wider noise and back toward the victims.
For supporters, his appearance was a sign that he remains unwilling to compromise his beliefs despite the attention and criticism that followed the mistrial.
The children were five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson and eight-month-old Callan.
For Desronvil, everything else is secondary to remembering their names.
