A Florida woman accused of opening fire on Rihanna’s Beverly Hills mansion while the singer and her family were inside has been indicted on several charges stemming from the incident earlier this year.
Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 36, faces one count of attempted murder, 10 counts of assault with an assault weapon and three counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper.
The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office announced the charges Wednesday after unsealing an indictment returned on June 18.
“Every person deserves to feel safe in and around their home,” District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman said in a statement. “Shooting at an occupied home is a serious, violent crime that is both reckless and dangerous.”
Ortiz, who is from Orlando, Florida, pleaded not guilty. Her bail was set at $2.65 million, and she is scheduled to return to court for a hearing on October 29.
If convicted, Ortiz could face up to life in prison.

Our News Outlet has contacted representatives of the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office for additional comment.
Prosecutors allege that on the afternoon of March 8, Ortiz drove to Rihanna’s Southern California residence and fired “an assault weapon multiple times at the house.”
Rihanna, 38, was at the property with her partner, A$AP Rocky, 37, their three children—four-year-old RZA Athelston, three-year-old Riot Rose and one-year-old Rocki Irish—as well as “several other people,” prosecutors said.
No one was struck by the gunfire. Hochman said it was “pure luck and not a matter of restraint” that no one was killed or injured.
Prosecutors said authorities later arrested Ortiz in Sherman Oaks, California.
During a hearing in April, prosecutor Alexander Bott said Ortiz had gone to the singer’s home carrying “a loaded weapon, ammunition and a wig as a disguise.”
Bott said the shooting “could easily have resulted in multiple homicides…of adults and children.”
In legal documents reviewed by Our News Outlet, Rihanna said she had received death threats on social media in the past, although most had not reached a serious level.
She had also referred several alleged stalkers for restraining orders and threat management through her security team over the years. However, she said no recent incident came to mind that appeared connected to the shooting.

Bullet holes were seen all over Rihann’s property after the shooting on March 17
Bullet impacts were reported across multiple parts of the property, including an exterior gate, a fence, a patio, a wall next to a nursery room and the windshield of an Airstream trailer, according to the outlet.
Legal documents state that Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were inside the trailer when the shooting occurred, while their children were in the nursery.
Ortiz, who subsequently lost her license to practice speech language pathology following the incident, was deemed mentally competent to stand trial following four months of evaluation on Tuesday, according to The Los Angeles Times.
Ortiz had previously been arrested in connection with suspicion of domestic violence and battery in 2023, according to the outlet.
Two years prior, she had been taken into custody in connection with suspicion of careless driving. She was also linked to a 2013 bankruptcy.
Ortiz had previously mentioned Rihanna in multiple social media posts, including a February posting in which she wrote to the singer: ‘Say something to me directly instead of sneaking around.’
