Annie Knight has responded after a wedding speech joke about her adult content career sparked attention following her $180,000 nuptials to Henry Brayshaw last week.
The 29-year-old married her longtime partner at an intimate outdoor ceremony on the Gold Coast last Thursday, surrounded by family and close friends.
During the reception, one of the emcees referred to the substantial fortune Annie has earned through her online career while delivering a lighthearted speech.
“Thanks to the 30,000 sad, lonely men who paid for all this,” the guest joked.
Speaking to Our News Outlet, Annie said coverage of the remark had removed it from its original context and stressed that the comment was not intended to cause harm.
She explained that the speaker was a close friend and one of the wedding’s emcees. “He is a funny guy, and when he sent us his first version of the speech, we were like, ‘You can’t say any of that!’” Annie said.

Annie said the emcee appeared to get carried away on the day and delivered a joke that failed to land. Still, she insisted it did not overshadow the celebration.
“The day itself was fantastic, and it was never going to ruin it,” she said. “What upset me was that the speech was leaked and the media ran with it.”
She added that neither she nor Henry held a grudge against their friend, who later apologised for the remark.
“We love the person who made the comment. He made a mistake, he regrets it and he has been very apologetic. Henry and I are forgiving and understanding people,” Annie said.
Annie also addressed the absence of Henry’s estranged father, James Brayshaw, from the wedding, saying she felt “immensely sad” that some family members were not there to share the occasion.
However, she made clear that the rift between James and Henry began well before her relationship with Henry and was unrelated to her work as an adult content creator.
“Henry hasn’t had a relationship with his dad for more than three years, long before we were together. Their estrangement has nothing to do with me,” she said.
“When we started dating, Henry and his dad were already estranged. It is a private family matter, and people assuming James chose not to be part of Henry’s life because of me is simply not true.”
Annie admitted she would have liked James to attend for Henry’s sake, but said the current state of their relationship meant the wedding was probably not the right setting for a reunion.

Annie also discussed the absence of Henry’s estranged father, James Brayshaw, saying she felt deeply saddened that some relatives were missing from the wedding.
“At the end of the day, Henry’s mum Sarah and his two brothers were there, and that meant everything to us,” Annie said. She highlighted Sarah’s 12-minute speech about her love for the couple as one of the day’s most meaningful moments.
“That is what matters to us. They came, gave us their full support and filled the day with nothing but love.”
She said she hoped that Henry and James would reconnect in the future and she would support her husband through it.
‘There is a chance for Henry and his dad to reconnect one day. But right now, Henry and I are in this phase where the people in our lives are immensely sacred to us and we would do anything for them,’ she said.
‘You don’t know what the future holds, but of course we are both hoping they reconnect and I can have a relationship with James as well.’
The social media star looked every inch the blushing bride as she tied the knot at a scenic nature retreat at The Valley Estate in the Currumbin Valley.

She added a flowing veil which was pinned into her updo and trailed behind her, as well as Jimmy Choo heels.
The blonde was beaming as she met Henry at the altar, with the groom dressed in a classic black tuxedo.
At one point, Henry could be seen swiping tears from his eyes as he said his vows to his love.
The couple were absolutely beaming as Henry presented his bride with a stunning Cartier wedding ring.
After the wedding, the couple will head off for a short honeymoon.
Annie became engaged in March 2025 when Henry got down on one knee during a holiday in Los Angeles.
