Hayden Panettiere’s former fiancé, Wladimir Klitschko, believes someone outside the actress’ family sold some of her belongings—including jewelry—to a pawn shop, according to a new court filing.
The allegation appears in a supplement to Klitschko’s earlier petition filed with Los Angeles County probate court in September. He is seeking temporary guardianship of the couple’s daughter, Kaya Klitschko, whom they welcomed in 2014, while also raising concerns about protecting Panettiere’s estate.
The latest filing states that the pawn shop has “declined to disclose specific item information without being contacted by law enforcement.” It also warns that Panettiere’s belongings could be “sold, transferred or otherwise rendered unrecoverable,” potentially causing Kaya a “direct financial detriment.”
Along with requesting guardianship, Klitschko is asking the court for authority to “request and authorize law enforcement investigation into the recovery of Hayden’s property believed to have been misappropriated.”

Panettiere died in August after being found unresponsive at an apartment in South Carolina. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office said the 36-year-old actress died from an accidental drug overdose involving fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol and quetiapine.
The investigation into Panettiere’s death remains ongoing, with authorities likely focusing on the source of the fentanyl. Sources previously told ABC News that investigators may be narrowing their attention to street-level drug dealers who could have supplied the drugs to the actress.
