Tennis icon's brother 'living in secret tunnels hiding from police'

The brother of tennis great Steffi Graf appears to be living in the network of secret tunnels beneath Las Vegas, with an active Nevada warrant issued for his arrest.

Graf, now 57 and a 22-time Grand Slam champion, made Las Vegas her home decades ago with her husband, fellow tennis legend Andre Agassi. Her younger brother, Michael, later moved to the area with his four children.

Now, unsettling details about Michael Graf’s life have surfaced. The 55-year-old has posted a series of rambling videos on Facebook that appear to have been filmed in tunnels beneath the city.

Steffi, meanwhile, appears to be enjoying a markedly different life in Las Vegas. Agassi recently shared a social media video showing the couple playing tennis together in the sunshine, alongside the caption: “How lovely to dream while you’re awake.”

In several Facebook posts, Michael is seen sitting against a graffiti-covered wall, looking dejected and disheveled. In many of the clips, he speaks toward the camera, although parts of what he says are difficult to understand because of audio problems.

In some of the videos, he also makes allegations about his brother-in-law, Andre Agassi, and describes what he claims was a physical confrontation between them. There is no evidence that the alleged incident occurred. Our News Outlet has contacted representatives for Agassi for comment.

“I truly believe that Andre enjoyed hitting me as hard as he could. I truly believe he liked it,” he says.

“I mean, that’s understandable. I just kept pushing all sorts of buttons. I just thought to myself: What the hell, another idiot? I don’t mean to say that her partners are idiots, but I just thought… no, no, no!”

“I mean, I really gave him a good whack. It was like… a real pirate move.”

He went on to offer further bizarre details about the alleged encounter, saying: “And the only reason I pinched his nipples is because he wasn’t wearing his pirate earrings anymore. Otherwise, I would have dragged him behind me by his earrings, 100 percent.”

The Las Vegas tunnels were originally built as a flood-control and drainage system. Over time, however, the vast network beneath the city’s casinos and hotels has become a hazardous refuge for people experiencing homelessness. Estimates suggest that more than 1,000 people live within the 480-kilometer system.

It is not clear how long Graf may have been staying in the tunnels. His possessions appear to be kept in a shopping cart. He was previously reported to be living in a tent near Lake Mead, outside Las Vegas.

Court documents reviewed by Our News Outlet show that Graf was issued a bench warrant in Nevada after allegedly violating court conditions connected to a misdemeanor trespassing case. The charge did not involve burglary.

He had been placed under a no-contact order and instructed to stay out of trouble before the case was closed. A review of his compliance in March found that he had been arrested by Boulder City Police for driving under the influence, in violation of the order.

The Boulder City Police Department told Our News Outlet that Graf was arrested on February 12, 2026, after officers found an open container of alcohol inside his vehicle.

After he failed to attend a March 26 status hearing concerning the stay-out-of-trouble violation, a bench warrant was issued. The warrant remains active.

The case marks the latest in a series of legal troubles for Graf, who was arrested over violent outbursts in Las Vegas in 2020.

At that time, sister Steffi supported him, buying him a house and reportedly financing his lawyers as well as seeking legal guardianship, according to Blick.

He reportedly moved out of his house after his second failed marriage earlier this year, starting a nomadic lifestyle in the desert and occasionally living out of his Tesla.

But it is claimed his camp burned down due to a fire in August, then he crashed his Tesla in September.

Back in 2014, Steffi Graf told Hello! about how her family settled in Las Vegas due to the strong family connection with Agassi ‘born and raised’ there.

She added: ‘And then very shortly after my mum moved to Las Vegas, and then my brother and his four kids, so we have all the family there. All the cousins are together and growing up together – it’s pretty neat.’

She told Tennis Magazine in 2008 that she never envisioned living in Las Vegas when her playing career ended.

‘I literally had no idea where I was going to live,’ she said. ‘I just felt that I’ve been able to see so much of the world that I wanted to explore that more.

‘Now living with two kids, and another great thing is my mom lives here, and so does my brother with his four kids. Andre, you know, [was] born and raised here, so we have such a tight-knit family and friend circuit. I feel very blessed.’

Just last month, Agassi gave Hello! an insight into his marriage to Graf and their private life together in Las Vegas as he prepared to take part in the Laver Cup.

‘She likes seeing me happy, just like I like seeing her happy,’ he said. ‘She knows this is a week in Laver Cup that I value, that I bond with, that I connect to. It’s a lot of work, but she’s never been scared of me in work [mode].

‘I always promised her I wouldn’t be too busy or too bored – because I’m kind of dangerous in both! She appreciates my connection to it, so she’ll smile for a week.’
