A man armed with a knife was arrested Friday night after an altercation with a crew member working on the Brooklyn set of Michael B. Jordan’s upcoming film “Miami Vice ’85,” police said.
Alex Perez, 23, allegedly disrupted production near Bay Parkway and McDonald Avenue, close to Washington Cemetery, at about 11:15 p.m., according to the NYPD, which spoke with The Post.
Police said Perez pulled out a knife during a heated verbal exchange with a 43-year-old male production staffer. The crew member reportedly feared for his safety.
“The individual was then taken into custody without incident, and the knife was recovered,” the NYPD said.
TMZ reported that Perez allegedly displayed a large butcher knife during the confrontation.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Perez, a Brooklyn resident, faces charges of second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

“Miami Vice ’85,” starring Jordan and Austin Butler, is currently filming at locations throughout New York City and New Jersey as work continues on the reboot of the iconic undercover detective series.
Joseph Kosinski, the director of “Top Gun: Maverick,” is helming the crime drama.
Jordan plays Ricardo Tubbs opposite Butler’s James “Sonny” Crockett. He was seen shooting nighttime scenes on the Brooklyn set Friday.
Earlier this month, Jordan filmed scenes for the remake in Wayne, New Jersey, with co-stars Danny Ramirez and Dominic Sessa.
For the production, crews converted part of Wayne’s Preakness Shopping Center into an ’80s-style Miami streetscape featuring palm trees and retro storefronts.
The original “Miami Vice” ran on NBC from 1984 through 1989. It starred Don Johnson as Sonny Crockett and Philip Michael Thomas as Ricardo Tubbs, undercover detectives battling crime in South Florida.
The Hollywood reboot is scheduled to hit theaters in 2028.
