Ri-Ri completed the look with the same jewellery she had worn to the VMAs—a diamond choker, bracelet, earrings and delicate silver chain—while her glittering black dress added an instant touch of glamour.

The 25-year-old wore her cropped raven hair swept neatly to one side, with a miniature gold crucifix positioned between her front teeth.

Her makeup was flawlessly applied, featuring matte red lipstick, smoky eyes and a subtle shimmer that highlighted her flawless complexion.

Her former flame, rapper Drake, was also seen leaving the VMA after-party only minutes apart from her. He covered his face as he hurried out of the venue.

The star appeared to have enjoyed a busy night of celebrations. She also visited the official VMA after-party at Pink Elephant Club and tweeted: 'It's not a Sunday in #NYC without #PinkELEPHANT and my crew!!! #VMAafterparty with my main heaux @leleboo_phucku Tonight 2night TUH-NIGHT!!!'

The celebration drew many of music's biggest names, who gathered to mark the night's successes. Pop's most famous couple, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, also attended the glamorous event.

The couple smiled as they were photographed leaving PH-D Rooftop in New York City after the star-studded VMA after-party.

Later that evening, the pair were also seen leaving the Dream Downtown Hotel in New York following the celebratory night of music.

At the MTV VMAs, stars including Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift went all out with their outfits, but Rihanna took a more understated approach.

The Unapologetic singer bypassed the glamorous red carpet and went straight to her seat beside her friend Melissa Forde for the prestigious ceremony.

Ri-Ri wore sported a jet black mullet hairstyle with a cut-off shirt featuring MC Lyte's face and the lyrics 'Gotta Get A Ruff Neck'.

To complete her look she wore dark blue cuffed jeans with some black strappy heels but it was her mouth accessory that really stood-out.

The 25-year-old had a crucifix strategically put between her front teeth on a night when various mouth grills were all the rage.

During the event The Barbados-born beauty did not really seem to get into the proceedings and noticeably scowled when former boyfriend Drake took to the stage although there was no sign of Chris Brown.
