Natalie Portman has said she is “full of wonder” after becoming a mother for the third time at 45.
The Oscar-winning actress recently welcomed her “magical” first child with her partner, music producer Tanguy Destable, 46.
Portman offered a rare glimpse into life with her newborn and her relationship with Destable during a striking new cover shoot for Harper’s Bazaar magazine’s November issue.
The actress also has two children from her previous marriage to director and choreographer Benjamin Millepied: 15-year-old son Aleph and nine-year-old daughter Amalia. The couple separated in 2023 and finalised their divorce the following year.
Portman explained that welcoming a third child later in life has brought “a whole new attention” to her older children. She also described feeling “full of wonder and joy at this magical little human”.
Natalie said: “It gives me a whole new attention to my big kids too, as I am reminded of how recently they were these little fresh creations and how quickly they’ve blossomed into incredible humans with their own amazing personalities and senses of humour and ideas.”

Speaking about her relationship, Natalie said: “The most important thing is love. And I’m not embarrassed to say it.
“I do feel like it’s so simple, just being kind and loving and being able to laugh. That’s all that matters.
“That’s the joy of being this age. If it’s not that, I’m not spending my time there.”
Portman looked glamorous throughout the accompanying cover shoot. In one ensemble, she wore a Dior coat with a Givenchy hat and completed the look with a Tiffany pendant.
The actress also modelled a Simone Rocha dress, a hot pink silk Celine gown, a Louis Vuitton dress and bonnet, and a feathered Loewe minidress.

The dark comedy thriller stars Portman as Polina Polinski, a Miami art gallery owner. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and is scheduled for release next month.
She said: “I had lucky early experiences of failure. I know I’ve been also very lucky to have a lot of successes that have balanced it out. But I mean, for example, my first film, The Professional, got horrible reviews and had no box office.

‘And then I made Star Wars. I was 16, and that got murdered. It was a huge success financially, but all of it was “They ruined the franchise. None of them can act. They all suck”.
‘I think it was an amazing early lesson in how to read really bad things about yourself and then be able to be like, ‘I’m going to make another one. I’m going to show them.
‘I don’t remember talking to anyone about it. I didn’t want to show anyone that I was hurt or anything.’
