Blake Lively offered a playful look at the beauty routine she uses to appear as though she is in the “first trimester of life” on Wednesday evening.
The 39-year-old actress shared a candid video on her Instagram Story showing the nighttime ritual she follows to preserve her “natural beauty.”
In the clip, Lively appeared to wear a red-light therapy device over her hair, along with a sheet mask and extra sections applied across her bare face.
The Gossip Girl alum was bundled in a brown fleece hoodie as she seemingly settled in for the night and completed her skincare routine.
Lively shared the cozy beauty snapshot soon after the high-profile dispute surrounding her film It Ends With Us, which she made with director and co-star Justin Baldoni.
“Natural beauty is effortless,” she joked in text at the bottom of the post, which showed her taking a deep breath while the mask covered her face.

She added thought bubbles around her face, including one that read: “If I don’t look like I’m in the first trimester of life after this much effort I quit.”
“I miss the 2000s when we just used that handsoap with fish characters on it on our face & called it a day,” she continued.
Lively also poked fun at the lights glowing behind her, writing in another thought bubble: “My kids’ star projector that I stole is a vibe tho.”
She paired the lighthearted video with “Glamorous,” the 2006 hit by Fergie and Ludacris.
The mother of four—who shares James, 11; Inez, 10; Betty, seven; and Olin, three, with husband Ryan Reynolds—regularly posts glimpses of her haircare and beauty routines on social media.
In August, she uploaded a video showing herself getting ready in her bathroom before racing out the door while balancing life as a mother and businesswoman.
“The look: no time but need to look cute while ALSO raising children,” wrote the actress, who was seen using products from her Blake Brown haircare brand.
“Moment of truth: bun out after running around the city,” she added, nearly leaving the house with her pants still unbuttoned.

Her post comes after she was in a legal battle with Baldoni, and the former costars settled right before their trial was set to begin. Baldoni was ultimately ordered to pay $400,000 of Lively’s legal fees earlier this year; pictured together in It Ends With Us
The Instagram post came after Lively’s legal battle with Baldoni, with the former co-stars reaching a settlement shortly before their trial was due to begin.
Baldoni was ultimately ordered to pay $400,000 toward Lively’s legal fees.
Lively had sued Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer, in December 2024.
Just before the trial was scheduled to start earlier this year, Lively was awarded slightly more than $400,000 of the $8 million in legal fees she sought in connection with the dispute and his countersuit.
In her lawsuit, Lively alleged that she had been sexually harassed and subjected to retaliation. She also claimed Baldoni organized a smear campaign intended to damage her reputation after she raised concerns about his conduct on the set.
Baldoni denied the harassment allegations and countered that Lively had made the complaints in an effort to take creative control of the movie.
The countersuit was dismissed in June 2025. Two weeks before the scheduled trial date in May of that year, the former co-stars reached a settlement.
They also issued a joint statement saying they “remain firmly committed to workplaces free of improprieties and unproductive environments.”
