Madonna turned to Shakespeare for inspiration when choosing Halloween costumes for herself and her much younger boyfriend, Akeem Morris.
The 68-year-old pop icon was seen alongside Morris, 30, as they made their way to a Halloween party at The Twenty Two London.
The couple walked from Madonna’s home to the venue dressed as characters from A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Rather than portraying Titania, the fairy queen, Madonna appeared to channel Puck, the mischievous sprite, with a mask and wig. Morris, meanwhile, dressed as Nick Bottom, the character transformed by Puck and given the head of an ass.
Madonna—whose chances of a major Grammy victory have recently improved—paired her black mask and spiky, wolf-like wig with a rippling violet coat that had a rich, velvety finish.
The singer, whose real name is Madonna Ciccone, wore the coat over what appeared to be a black bodysuit that accentuated her age-defying figure. Black leather gloves and knee-high boots completed the look.

Morris reflected Nick Bottom’s working-class origins in black coveralls, leather gloves and sturdy matching work boots.
He completed the costume with a comical horse mask featuring piercing orange eyes and a tuft of red hair, while his own dreadlocks could be seen emerging from the back.
Madonna held on to her boyfriend’s arm as they made their way inside for what proved to be a notably brief appearance.
A witness said the pair arrived at The Twenty Two London at around 2am local time. They apparently went largely unnoticed by other guests and left approximately 30 minutes later.
Madonna did not post the couple’s Halloween costumes on Instagram, perhaps preserving the mystery surrounding their party appearance. She did, however, repost several fans who dressed as some of her most iconic looks.
The Halloween outing came as Madonna appeared poised for another significant career milestone after releasing her fifteenth studio album, Confessions II.
The record reached the top of the Billboard 200 and earned enthusiastic reviews from critics. It is now being discussed as a possible contender for an Album of the Year nomination at next year’s Grammys.
Although the album was not initially considered a likely nominee, Madonna’s prospects improved substantially after her major showing at last month’s MTV VMAs.

The singer-songwriter dominated the VMAs, winning seven of the 13 awards for which she was nominated.
Her biggest victories included Artist of the Year, Best Dance and Best Album.
Awards-tracking website Gold Derby now says Madonna is gaining “momentum” ahead of next year’s Grammys because of her VMAs success.

“The VMAs gave Madonna a valuable platform to strengthen her case for a potential Album of the Year nomination at the Grammys,” the publication wrote.
“Her showcase wins and ceremony-opening number, with assists from Sabrina Carpenter and Charli XCX—easily the performance highlight of the evening—guaranteed Confessions II will remain on Recording Academy voters’ radar, while the reception she received from fellow artists in the room suggests strong industry support.”
The publication added that “the night reinforced her standing as one of the season’s most visible, viable contenders.”
Since the VMAs, Madonna has moved ahead of Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl in the Album of the Year rankings.
The Queen of Pop currently sits sixth overall, behind Olivia Dean, Olivia Rodrigo, Bruno Mars, Spanish singer Rosalia and Raye.

Madonna’s prospects for Grammy success are already strong. Publications including Billboard and Forbes have reported that Confessions II is almost certain to receive a nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album—and could even win.
A victory would make Madonna the first woman to win the category twice.
She previously took home the award in 2007 for Confessions on a Dance Floor.
Madonna has not received a Grammy nomination since 2010, while her last Album of the Year nomination came for Ray of Light, which lost to Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1999.
Our News Outlet has contacted representatives for Madonna and Swift for comment.
Confessions II is Madonna’s most successful album in decades.
The record reached No. 1 in 17 countries, including the United States, where it topped the Billboard 200. It also produced the hit single “Bring Your Love,” featuring Sabrina Carpenter.
The album is among the most critically acclaimed of Madonna’s career and has already been named one of the best albums of 2026 by Vogue, Mojo, Stereogum and other publications.

Variety and Rolling Stone have both described Confessions II as Madonna’s best album in decades.
Our News Outlet’s Adrian Thrills awarded the album four out of five stars, calling it “uniformly excellent” and praising its return to the singer’s musical roots.
Critics have also highlighted the album’s deeply personal lyrics, which explore Madonna’s relationships with her daughter Lourdes, her marriage to Sean Penn, her late stepmother Joan and brother Christopher, as well as her early years as an aspiring artist on New York’s Lower East Side.
The record also includes collaborations with several younger pop stars, including Carpenter and Charli XCX, as well as fellow pop icon Kylie Minogue.
