A husband who placed online adverts inviting men to have sex with his wife told one prospective participant that the “slight risk” was “a great thrill”, jurors have heard.
Former Conservative councillor Philip Young has admitted multiple offences involving drugging and sexually abusing his wife, Joanne Young, over 13 years at their home in Swindon.
Four other men are on trial at Winchester Crown Court, accused of sexually abusing Mrs Young.
Mohammed Hassan, 38, from Swindon, denies one count of sexual touching involving Mrs Young in February 2023.
The court heard that Mrs Young recalled feeling another man’s hand while she was restrained and blindfolded during the incident involving Hassan. She managed to escape to the en suite bathroom.
Jurors were told that Young had posted 20 adverts on Craigslist seeking men to have sex with his wife.
One advert said: “When my wife gets p, she gets randy and we have started running through some fantasies and one of the fantasies is having her tied to the bed.”
The advert went on to describe the idea of “quietly using her body”, adding that “even a voice would be a giveaway” to the man’s identity.

The court also heard that Young told Hassan in a message: “I had a vasectomy a while ago so she is completely unprotected.
“The thought of a slight risk is a great thrill for us. If anything did happen, we know nothing about you so there would be no comeback.”
After the alleged incident involving Hassan, Young sent him another message saying: “Hey mate, sorry about last night.
“It’s the first time we did it and she freaked out a bit. She asked me to apologise and wants me to tell you that maybe this isn’t for her.”
Jurors were told that Young also apologised to his wife after admitting he had invited another man into their bedroom without her knowledge.
He wrote: “Would you rather tell your dad I’m not well and I will stay here out of the way? I don’t know what to do with the hurt I have caused.
“I am devastated at what I have done and I am heartbroken at what I did to you. I can’t say sorry enough, but I know it’s inadequate.”
Edward Culver, prosecuting, told the court that an examination of Young’s devices found 300 emails exchanged with other people between 2015 and 2019. He had also created 20 Craigslist adverts.

Connor Sanderson-Doyle, from Swindon, is charged with sexual assault by penetration and sexual touching
Richard Wilkins, 62, from Swindon, denies one count of rape and one of assault by penetration

The titles of some of the adverts included “F* my tied and blindfolded wife” and “F* my wife”, he said.
Young also used other websites, including Grindr and Fab Swingers, under the username London Monkey, the court heard.
Mr Culver said investigators found 480 images of Mrs Young “in a state of undress”. Most were taken “without her knowledge or consent”, although he said it was unclear from a minority of the photographs whether she knew about or agreed to them being taken.
The prosecuting junior counsel also told jurors that police went to Young’s home in 2015 after Border Force intercepted a package sent from India containing a class C controlled medication. The drug can be used as a sedative and is known as a date-rape drug.
The jury also heard that Young had been prescribed a sedative to treat sleeping difficulties.
Mrs Young has waived her right to anonymity.
The other three defendants being tried alongside Young include Norman Macksoni, 48, from Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire, who denies one count of rape.
Richard Wilkins, 62, from Toothill in Swindon, denies one count of rape and one of assault by penetration.
Connor Sanderson-Doyle, 32, from Swindon, also denies sexual assault by penetration and sexual touching.
Young, 50, has pleaded guilty to 56 charges in total.
A sixth defendant, Dean Hamilton, 47, from Street in Somerset, has admitted one count of assault by penetration, two counts of sexual assault and one count of rape.
The defendants will be sentenced after the trial concludes.
