Newly released body camera video shows the frantic response as Hillsborough County deputies entered a Citibank campus in Tampa, Florida, following a deadly shooting Wednesday. As officers searched for the gunman, one officer was heard declaring, “Shooter is down.”
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office released edited bodycam footage and 911 calls documenting the law enforcement response at the Sabal Center in Tampa. A woman was killed in the attack, and the shooter was fatally wounded by an armed security guard.
Authorities said the suspect drove through a fence at the Sabal Park Office Development, crashed into an outdoor seating area and shot a woman before firing inside the building’s cafeteria.
As deputies arrived at the sprawling business campus, one officer could be heard asking bystanders to describe the suspect.
