UK charges three men over arson attack on Jewish community ambulances in London

On Friday, British prosecutors announced charges against three individuals linked to an arson attack targeting Jewish community ambulances in North London last month.

The attack occurred on March 23, when the ambulances were set ablaze. Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the act, labeling it a “deeply shocking antisemitic arson attack.”

According to the SITE Intelligence website, a group known as the Islamic Movement of the People of the Right Hand, which aligns with Iran, claimed responsibility for the attack near a synagogue in London’s Golders Green area.

Though counter-terrorism officers are leading the investigation, the incident has not yet been classified as an act of terrorism.

The Crown Prosecution Service revealed that the three suspects, aged 20, 19, and 17, face charges of arson with intent to damage property and recklessness regarding endangering lives.

Among those charged, two are British nationals, and the third holds dual citizenship in Britain and Pakistan.
