FIFA World Cup Final 2026 Match: All The Celebrities Attending

The 2026 FIFA World Cup comes to a dramatic close on Sunday, July 19, 2026, with Argentina and Spain battling for the trophy at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. But the action on the pitch is not the only spectacle drawing attention, as the World Cup final crowd is packed with A-list celebrities and global entertainment names.

From the very start, the North American World Cup has leaned into star power. Shakira, Michael Bublé and Katy Perry were among the performers who helped launch the tournament during the 2026 FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremonies. Now, FIFA Chief Operating Officer Heimo Schirgi has indicated that the closing celebrations are designed to deliver the same big-event energy, with the final introducing a major milestone for soccer’s grandest stage: an official Halftime Show.

In a first for FIFA World Cup history, the championship match will stop at halftime for a live music showcase. Curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, the performance will be led by Madonna, Shakira, Justin Bieber and BTS, bringing together artists tied to the United States, Colombia, Canada and South Korea for a truly international lineup.

The headline performers are also reportedly expected to be joined by Coldplay, Nigerian star Burna Boy, Los Angeles Philharmonic music director Gustavo Dudamel and New York City’s PS22 Chorus, with appearances from beloved characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets.

“The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can,” Bieber previously said in a statement. “I’m grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world.”

The World Cup closing ceremony will add even more music to the day, with Jennifer Hudson slated to sing the U.S. national anthem. The broader entertainment lineup is also expected to feature Post Malone, Laura Pausini, Nicole Scherzinger, Robbie Williams and IShowSpeed.

“We are thrilled to have so many stars taking to the pitch, from both the football and entertainment worlds,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said in a press release, adding that the ceremony would “set the tone for a historic FIFA World Cup final, uniting the passion of 48 teams, 16 host cities and millions of fans on one unforgettable stage.”

The star wattage has been on the East Coast all week with Kevin Durant pulling Tom Brady, Kevin Hart, Travis Scott, Rio Ferdinand, Michael Rubin and Novak Djokovic — along with finalists Rodri, Emiliano Martínez and Lionel Messi — into one massive selfie taken at a press conference ahead of the World Cup Final at Fanatics Fest in New York on Friday, July 17.
