Monthly bills are unavoidable if you intend to maintain a home, and housing expenses are definitely on the rise. Many individuals aim to cut these costs by opting to live with a roommate and share expenses.

According to a recent analysis by SmartAsset, which reviewed apartment rental prices in 100 U.S. cities, there are significant savings to be had by splitting the rent of a two-bedroom unit with a roommate instead of renting a one-bedroom apartment on your own.

The study highlighted seven cities in Florida as prime locations where substantial savings can be realized by cohabitating with a roommate.

The city where you could save the most money in Florida by finding a roommate is Miami, where the average person could save roughly $875 a month. In fact, Miami ranked No. 7 in the entire country, just ahead of No. 12 Tampa, where residents can save about $735 a month by finding a roommate instead of living alone.

Further down the list at No. 30 sits Orlando, where a one-bedroom apartment costs $1,520 a month on average and a two-bedroom costs $1,830. If you split that with a roommate, that ends up costing you $915 a month, a $605 savings from living alone.

Here’s the full rankings on how all of the Florida cities in the report from SmartAsset fared:
