Morgan Wallen Is Only Competing With Himself At This Point

Morgan Wallen can’t be beaten this week on the Billboard rankings. His name appears across many of the company’s tallies — often in multiple spots — and in some cases, he fills three dozen or more spaces at once. That kind of performance is reserved for only the top stars in the music industry, and even some of them can’t manage such a massive showing.

Nowhere is Wallen’s success more evident than on the Hot Country Songs chart, which makes sense, and he is the true king of the most consumed country tracks in the United States at the moment. Thanks to the many new tracks featured on his No. 1 album I’m the Problem, the singer-songwriter makes history and breaks one of his own records.

Morgan Wallen Dominates the Hot Country Songs Chart

All 37 tunes featured on I’m the Problem appear on the Hot Country Songs chart this week. The list only includes 50 spaces, which means Wallen occupies almost 75% of the entire roster.

Morgan Wallen Beats His Own Record

Wallen now claims the record for the most simultaneous hits on the Hot Country Songs chart. He beats the previous record of 35 by two additional wins. The superstar and Grammy nominee set that high point just two years ago when his album One Thing at a Time opened atop a number of Billboard rankings, with 35 cuts featured on the set appearing on the same tally.

A First on the Hot Country Songs Chart

For the first time ever, one artist claims the entirety of the top 10 on the Hot Country Songs chart. Wallen pushes every other tune out of the region, with “All the Way” by BigXthaPlug and Bailey Zimmerman ranking as the loftiest title not connected to him. This frame, that cut dips from No. 7 to No. 11.

Half of those top 10s are debuts, while the other half are singles taken from I’m the Problem that had previously spent time inside the space, including a pair of previous champions.

Milestone Top 10s and a New No. 1

As he increases his career total, Wallen reaches a milestone 40 top 10s on the Hot Country Songs chart. Out of 116 total placements, he has now led the charge with 11 different tracks — including his new No. 1, “What I Want.” The collaboration with Tate McRae launches atop the country-only ranking this frame.
