Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe is reportedly suing the owner of a kebab shop in France after his name was used in the description for a sandwich.

The shop, opened by influencer Mohamed Henni, sells a Klub kebab which is described as being made with ‘baker round bread, as round as Mbappe’s skull’.

The sandwich is available on online delivery platform Uber Eats, though Mbappe’s legal team has taken exception to the bizarre branding, according to ESPN.

The letter was allegedly sent by Delphine Verheyden, Mbappe’s lawyer, on behalf of KMA, the firm created to deal with the player’s merchandising and image rights.

Henni has been told to remove the mention of Mbappe’s name from the menu within eight days or risk being taken to court for using the name without consent for commercial purposes. It is not known whether the change has been made.

On his Instagram story, Henni lashed out at the threat.

‘Are you not ashamed?’ he raged. ‘You have nothing else to do? Suing me for something so futile. It is incredible. I can’t believe it!’

He went on to add: ‘I’m stunned a player of this level has the time to think about me. He is using his time and money to attack me. I am not hurting anyone.’

Former France international Dimitri Payet also has an item named after him, with the winger, who currently plays for Vasco da Gama, honoured with a savoury pancake.

Alleging hypocrisy, Henni said: ‘Payet is a player with values. Mbappe has lost it.’

Mail Sport have approached Verheyden Avocats, Mbappe’s legal team, for comment.

The striker’s attention is instead likely to be on PSG’s upcoming Champions League quarter-final tie after they beat Real Sociedad 4-1 across both legs.

Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Real Madrid have also joined them in the hat, with two more teams to follow suit this evening.

Inter Milan will look to protect their 1-0 aggregate lead when they travel to Atletico Madrid, while Borussia Dortmund host PSV after their 1-1 first leg draw.
