Sunny Skies, Heat, and Potential Storms Ahead for Central Florida This Week

    ORLANDO, Fla. – Prepare for a warm and muggy beginning to the week in Central Florida. The temperatures on Monday and Tuesday are expected to reach into the low 90s, and with the added humidity, the afternoons could feel like it’s between 100 to 105 degrees. If you’re planning to be outdoors, remember to drink plenty of water and take breaks in cooler or shaded areas.

    There is a possibility of scattered storms on both days, particularly in the afternoons and early evenings. While the chance of rain is slightly reduced at the start of the week, some storms might include gusty winds up to 50 mph and intense local showers. As storms may move slowly on Tuesday, repeated rainfall could lead to localized flooding concerns.

    Heading into Wednesday and the latter part of the week, the likelihood of rain and storms will increase. The state will experience an influx of moisture, bringing a 50% to 60% likelihood of afternoon and evening storms every day into the weekend.

    Outside of the storms, warm and muggy conditions will stick around with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s and overnight lows in the 70s.

    Stay weather-aware, and be prepared for late afternoon to early evening downpours if you’ll be out and about later this week.
