A captain from the Los Angeles Police Department has clarified that there is no truth to the claims that California teenager Celeste Rivas’s body was frozen, contrary to circulating reports.

Recently, sources informed TMZ that Celeste’s remains had allegedly been “partially frozen” before they were discovered in the trunk of singer D4vd’s (David Anthony Burke) Tesla.

However, in a new statement to People Magazine, LAPD captain Scot Williams has dispelled these claims, stating that she was neither decapitated nor frozen.

“Celeste’s body was not frozen,” he explained. “She was not decapitated. The idea of her being frozen doesn’t add up. Her body had been in the car for an extended period.”

“Even if hypothetically she had been frozen when placed in the vehicle, which there is absolutely no evidence to support, enduring the sweltering summer heat in a car trunk for over five weeks would not leave her body partially frozen by the time it was found on September 8th.”

As previously detailed by CrimeOnline, Celeste’s remains were discovered by Los Angeles police on September 8. The Tesla, registered to Burke, had been parked near his residence in the upscale Bird Streets area of Hollywood Hills.

Police found the vehicle at a tow yard in Hollywood after residents in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood contacted police about an abandoned car with a Texas license plate on September 6.

The vehicle had been at the lot for several days before LAPD officers made the discovery. LAPD said Celeste’s dismembered body had been put in a bag and left in the front trunk.

On Monday, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner placed a security hold on the case, following a court order Friday, initiated by LAPD.

“No records or details associated with the case, including the cause and manner of death and Medical Examiner report, can be released or posted on the website until further notice,” the medical examiner said.

Meanwhile, Burke, who is now considered a suspect in the case, has reportedly been uncooperative. No criminal charges have been filed at this time.
