Hugh Jackman appears to be channeling his energy into philanthropic work in the wake of his unexpected separation from wife Deborra-Lee Furness.
The 54-year-old Marvel favorite posted a cheerful Instagram photo on Thursday night, wearing a Global Citizen T-shirt as he helped shine a spotlight on the organization’s mission.
In the snap, Jackman is seated and smiling warmly, dressed in a black tee featuring the campaign’s striking red circle logo.

Jackman has long been connected to the Global Citizen movement, having hosted multiple festival events over the years in support of its push to help end extreme poverty through meaningful, lasting change.

Back in 2017, he appeared on stage alongside Deborra-Lee, where the pair spoke about why the humanitarian cause was important to them.

It comes after Jackman and Furness announced they were divorcing after 27 years of marriage.
‘We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,’ the couple said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE on Friday.
‘Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition.’
The former couple signed the statement as ‘Deb and Hugh Jackman,’ adding: ‘This is the sole statement either of us will make.’
The Australian couple share two children together; Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.
