Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss and Jay Mohr tie the knot

Los Angeles Lakers controlling owner Jeanie Buss has married comedian and actor Jay Mohr, making their relationship official in a private ceremony.

The couple said “I do” on Sunday in Malibu, California, at what was described as an intimate wedding attended by just 20 guests, according to TMZ.

After the ceremony, Buss and Mohr headed to a nearby beach for a post-wedding photoshoot, months after the pair were seen sharing a sweet moment together at a Lakers game earlier this year.

Buss, 61, and Mohr, 53, first began dating in January 2017, though they kept their romance largely out of the spotlight until going public with the relationship in 2021.

It remains unclear whether Buss and Mohr signed a prenuptial agreement before their Malibu wedding.

Buss became the controlling owner of the Los Angeles Lakers in 2013 following the death of her father, Jerry Buss. Forbes estimates her net worth at about $500 million.

A major figure in the NBA and widely regarded as one of the most powerful women in sports, Buss is also a co-owner of Women of Wrestling. The promotion now airs on Paramount in more than 200 U.S. markets through a syndication deal she helped bring together.

Mohr’s net worth, meanwhile, is estimated to be approximately $4 million.
